About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Photographer to join our team at Karen Millen. As a key member of our studio team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality digital images of our products that showcase our brand's style and aesthetic.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with our stylist and art director to conceptualize and execute photo shoots that meet our brand's creative vision.
  • Take full ownership of ensuring our products are lit correctly, efficiently, and creatively, in accordance with our company guidelines and brand direction.
  • Lead by example and consistently meet KPIs, demonstrating strong leadership qualities and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Produce high-quality images that are correctly exposed and color-consistent, ensuring they meet our brand's high standards.
  • Prepare sets, checking that all equipment is functioning, setting up appropriate lighting, and maintaining accurate daily shoot records.
  • Name and maintain digital asset files, creating daily contact sheets and uploading to our creative platform.
  • Work with our art director to edit and select images, ensuring they meet our brand's creative vision.
  • Crop and process all images, maintaining file size specification guidelines.
  • Perform quality assurance on all images, ensuring they meet our brand's high standards.
  • Work alongside our art director to create seasonal gallery refreshes, ensuring our online presence is always up-to-date and visually appealing.
  • Achieve accurate archiving of images, making them easily accessible to other departments.
  • Ensure all images are ready in advance of online sales, meeting daily and weekly deadlines to prepare for new website material.
  • Meet deadlines and work well under pressure, demonstrating a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Be responsible for the care and upkeep of all studio equipment, ensuring it is always in good working order.
  • Complete ad-hoc duties and contribute ideas that support elevating our ecommerce gallery and maintaining our position as a premium fashion leader.

Requirements

  • Proactive and able to take initiative.
  • Detail-oriented and creative.
  • Experience in a studio environment.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of digital cameras and lighting.
  • High technical proficiency in PhotoShop, Capture One Pro, Bridge, and networked computers.
  • Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with confidence.
