Are you a Psychology/Counselling graduate eager to make a meaningful impact in educational settings? Do you have a passion for supporting children and young adults with additional needs or mental health support?

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team at Veritas Education Recruitment Ltd. As a Psychology Support Professional, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of schools across Leeds and surrounding areas, providing support to students with additional needs and mental health challenges.

Our ideal candidate will have completed previous university placements or volunteer programs supporting children or adults with additional needs or mental health support. You will have a strong understanding of child psychology, family support, and counseling principles, and be able to apply this knowledge in a real-world setting.

As a member of our team, you will have access to excellent daily rates and additional training opportunities. You will also have the chance to work in a variety of settings, from mainstream schools to Special Educational Needs schools, and develop your skills and confidence in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide support to students with additional needs and mental health challenges in educational settings.
  2. Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized support plans.
  3. Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting the social, emotional, and academic well-being of students.

Requirements:

  1. Relevant degree in Psychology or Counselling.
  2. Previous experience working with children or adults with additional needs or mental health support.
  3. Enhanced DBS Disclosure and professional reference checks.
  4. Legal right to work in the UK.
