Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in maintaining a positive learning environment for pupils with additional Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to pupils with SEMH needs, adapting your approach to meet their unique requirements.
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement effective strategies for supporting pupils' learning and social skills.
- Intervene promptly and professionally in challenging situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of all pupils.
- Deliver targeted interventions in Phonics, Literacy, and Numeracy, helping pupils to catch up with their peers.
- Ensure that all pupils have access to the support they need to succeed, regardless of their background or circumstances.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience working with pupils with SEMH needs, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with pupils, teachers, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
- Right to work in the UK and Overseas Criminal Clearance.
