As a leading global reinsurer, SCOR offers innovative risk management solutions to clients worldwide. With a strong focus on casualty reinsurance, we are seeking an expert to lead our accumulation management team.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in actuarial or quantitative areas, with a focus on Casualty related lines, particularly US Casualty. The role requires a collaborative spirit, good understanding of Actuarial/Risk Assessment/Financial Techniques, and digital competencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the groupwide accumulation processes for all casualty related exposures.
  • Define new risk scenarios to continuously assess emerging risks and challenge the accumulation approach.
  • Steer the portfolio through analyses of the evolution of accumulation and portfolio optimization.

The successful candidate will have significant internal interaction with stakeholders across many functional areas, including underwriting/management, actuarial pricing (and reserving), legal and claims. A strong relationship with business partners is essential to implement a well-defined process for monitoring and management of capacities.

Requirements
  • Extensive insurance or reinsurance experience in actuarial or quantitative areas.
  • Strong understanding of Actuarial/Risk Assessment/Financial Techniques.
  • Digital competencies, including experience in using standard business software and competence in a language/tool supporting numerical programming.

A degree in a field of study with strong quantitative skills is required. We estimate the salary for this role to be around $120,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
