Job Overview:
PACT, a pioneering national charity, seeks an exceptional Family Engagement Lead to drive the delivery of family-focused services in prisons. This role demands strong leadership and coordination skills, with experience working with prisoners, their families, and multi-agency partners.
About the Role:
This is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals, families, and communities. As a Family Engagement Lead, you will be responsible for promoting the health and well-being of prisoners, family members, and significant others during incarceration and upon release. Your primary focus will be on delivering effective family support services, ensuring continuity of care, and fostering positive relationships between prisoners and their loved ones.
Main Responsibilities:
* Lead the delivery of PACT's family engagement services, aligning with contractual requirements, prison operations, and the organization's practice standards and policies.
* Manage and coordinate family-focused casework services, including assessments, advocacy, structured interventions, case reviews, and facilitating visits (in-person and online).
* Oversee the Visits Centre and its staff to ensure a positive visitor experience.
Aims and Objectives:
The successful candidate will work towards achieving the following goals:
* Deliver and manage responsive family support services, maintaining and strengthening positive family relationships within prisoners' care and rehabilitation plans.
* Ensure children, families, and prisoners are treated with dignity and respect, with their voices heard, involved in service development, and their health and well-being promoted.
* Continuously improve continuity of care and support for family members and carers, positively impacting people in custody.
Requirements:
To excel in this role, you must possess:
* Demonstrable capacity to coordinate broad services, combined with experience working with prisoners and their families in challenging environments.
* Excellent customer service and IT skills, along with organizational abilities and a demanding workload management capacity.
* Ability to contribute to planning and development of PACT's work and have knowledge of safeguarding/child protection practices.
* Outstanding interpersonal communication skills and partnership-building capabilities with various agencies.
Benefits:
