Job Summary

Cadent is seeking an experienced Energy Operations Supervisor to join our team in the North West Network. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient supervision of energy operations, direct and contract resources, assets, and delivery of workload within our network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Motivate a High-Performing Team: Lead a team of energy operations professionals, driving performance, delivering year-on-year cost efficiencies, and improvements in productivity and resource utilization while maintaining world-class operational excellence, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive Performance and Productivity: Monitor workforce operational performance to ensure all objectives are met, utilizing all sources of MI/Data available, and drive performance and productivity of delivery resources and assets.
  • Ensure Compliance and Safety: Ensure maintenance activities are in full compliance with Safe Control of Operations procedures and CDM requirements, and responsible for engineering compliance of assets.
  • Manage External Contractors and Internal Teams: Responsible for safe management of external contractors/internal teams onsite undertaking projects, including briefings, site security, emergency arrangements, competency, etc.
  • Participate in Network Operational Standby Rota: Participate within the Network Operational Standby rota.
  • Responsible for SCO Compliance: Responsible for full compliance with Safe Control of Operations (SCO).
  • Oversight and Delivery of Pipeline Inspection Programme: Oversight and delivery of Pipeline Inspection Programme.
  • Asset Health and Management: Responsible for the health of assets with the Network.
Requirements
  • Operational Experience: HNC/SNVQ/NVQ or equivalent operational experience in network engineering techniques supported by relevant training or qualifications.
  • Project Delivery Experience: Experience delivering engineering projects.
  • Gas Asset Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of and understanding of gas assets and process systems.
  • Risk Management and HSE: Understanding of risk management principles and HSE regulations.
