B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineer Role

Morson is recruiting for B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineers to work for a prestigious client based at London Gatwick. This role involves supervising Mechanics and inspecting and certifying scheduled maintenance tasks, defect rectification, modifications, structural repairs, and functional tests on Airframe, Engine, and Electrical systems.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for ensuring the daily workload is completed and the production plan remains on schedule. They will support the Aircraft Check Manager and allocate tasks to ensure the daily workload is completed and the production plan remains on schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Supervise a team of Mechanics performing Base Maintenance on customer aircraft.
  2. Inspect and certify scheduled maintenance tasks, defect rectification, modifications, structural repairs, and functional tests on Airframe, Engine, and Electrical systems.
  3. Complete all assigned work in a timely manner to optimise aircraft downtime.
  4. Ensure aircraft technical log book, maintenance documentation, job cards, work packages, and zonal handovers are completed accurately and within prescribed timescales.
  5. Maintain a high standard of husbandry and cleanliness within assigned work areas.
  6. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company processes, and procedures.
  7. Promote a just culture and report all incidents and occurrences in the Boeing Safety Management System.
  8. Highlight any technical issues, discrepancies, or other issues to the Aircraft Check Manager.
  9. Actively support, promote, and contribute to continuous improvement ideas and lean principles.
  10. Assist the management team in the day-to-day running of the London Gatwick Operation.
  11. Undertake any reasonable activities as required, including working away from London Gatwick.
Requirements
  1. Hold a valid UK CAA Category B1 Part-66 Licence.
  2. Type rating on one or more of the following aircraft - B737 NG, B777, or B787.
