About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Administrator to join our team in the automotive retail industry. As a key member of our production support team, you will be responsible for efficiently managing and expediting procured and manufactured items, as well as controlling the workflow required to ensure product delivery meets cost and schedule requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Load Customer Order demand into production and manage Work Order in SAP
  2. Ensure kits/works orders are released to AIT on time and expedite them to meet the planned delivery dates.
  3. Maintain the 'live' status of products in the AIT production flows with assistance of area team leaders and area managers
  4. Support the manufacturing area manager with work centre forecasts from the company stock control/forecasting tool. Give visibility to the Production & Manufacturing Managers at the weekly operations reviews.
  5. Regularly create and review the status of works orders in their 'product' remit.
  6. Manage material supply issues to avoid potential delivery slippages.
  7. Timely release of purchase requisitions.
  8. Ensure full traceability for all products issued to manufacturing.
  9. Monitor drawing release activity and adherence to production schedules. Report any delay, investigate impact/recovery and ensure project are charged for respective changes to schedule/effort.
  10. Input and maintain production data required by the company stock control tool.
  11. Effectively report status of product to core project and manufacturing teams.
  12. Analyse and report potential impacts derived from the 'Shortage Risk Reports'.
  13. Identify schedule recovery opportunities from changing production work flow.
  14. Investigate customer orders on receipt and notify project management to any non-conformance i.e. requirement outside of nominal SAP lead-time/ direct charges budget etc.
  15. Manage the transfer of materials to satisfy project/company demand, paying particular attention to ITAR/IPR & EEE items.
  16. Fully support shipments from AIT in accordance with LDS.0096.
  17. Advise on kit issues/anomalies with the shop floor and ensure kits have been picked as identified on the 'kit shortage report'.
Requirements
  1. Demonstrated working Knowledge of MRP
  2. Demonstrated Knowledge Scheduling
  3. Planning/Scheduling Qualification
  4. Experience in using an MRP/ERP system, SAP
  5. Experience in Planning & schedule management
  6. Demonstrated ability to deliver results against schedule milestones to a high level of quality
  7. Previous experience demonstrated in a high pressure results driven environment in any one of the following industries: Aerospace / Defense / Communications / Manufacturing / Production/IT Background
Security Clearance

Security Check (SC) Clearance: To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance. To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements. Throughout the recruitment process, you will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility such as, but not limited to, country of residence and nationality.

Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS): To be successfully appointed to this role you will need to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks. There are no nationality or residency restrictions, although if you have resided outside of the UK within the last 3 years, further checks may be required.
