Kamino Consulting Ltd is seeking an experienced Industrial Automation Design Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design engineering and experience working on industrial automation projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed mechanical designs and schematics for industrial automation systems developed from concepts. This will involve working with 3D CAD software, such as SolidWorks, under the guidance of the Design Manager.

The estimated salary for this role is £60,000-£80,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description:

  • Create detailed mechanical designs and schematics for industrial automation systems developed from concepts.
  • Complete pneumatic designs inclusive of concepts, drawings and schematics.
  • Specify components for industrial automation systems.
  • Work with the Design and Applications Engineering teams and deliver projects on time.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of industrial automation/special purpose machine design experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience using 3D CAD Software, preferably SolidWorks.
  • Educated to degree level preferably in Mechanical Engineering or related fields (2.1 or above).
  • A logical approach to problem solving.
  • Well organised, ability to work to deadlines and a high attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise a heavy workload.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – both written and verbal.
  • Ability and willingness to work as part of a team.
