Job Title: Teacher of Business Studies

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Teacher of Business Studies to join our team at East Ayrshire Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering an innovative and creative curriculum to support the development of our learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver a curriculum that meets the needs of our learners and supports the achievement of our Education Plan and Community Plan objectives.
  • Challenge, support, and inspire all learners to achieve the best possible outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching and learning strategies.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching and learning practices.

Requirements:

  • Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act.
  • PVG Scheme membership or the ability to become a member prior to employment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Working Arrangements:

This is a permanent full-time post based at Robert Burns Academy, Barony Campus, Cumnock. The hours of work will be 35 hours per week, worked Monday to Friday at the direction of the Line Manager.

The full-time salary for this post is between £38,000 and £48,000 per annum.
