French and Spanish Teacher Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and experienced French and Spanish teacher to join our esteemed secondary school in Surrey. This full-time permanent position presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the academic and cultural enrichment of young learners.

About the Role:

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive language instruction in French and Spanish aligned with the national curriculum and schools educational objectives.
  • Create a vibrant and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation, fosters critical thinking, and celebrates student achievement.
  • Assess student progress through various formative and summative assessments, providing personalized feedback to support individual growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the Modern Foreign Languages department to enhance the overall language program and contribute to extracurricular activities.
  • Stay informed about current trends and best practices in language education, incorporating innovative teaching strategies into your practice.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in French, Spanish, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching French and Spanish at the secondary level.
  • Native or near-native fluency in both French and Spanish.
  • A passion for language education and a commitment to fostering cultural understanding.

Salary and Benefits:

The competitive salary for this role is £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications, aligned with the Main Pay Scale (MPS) or Upper Pay Scale (UPS). The comprehensive benefits package includes pension contributions and opportunities for professional development.
