Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team at UPS, where you will play a critical role in maintaining our fleet of vehicles. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet, which includes light vans, tractor and trailer units, and alternative fuel vehicles.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake replacements.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
  • Collaborate with other mechanics to achieve maintenance targets and ensure the smooth operation of our fleet.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments and best practices in vehicle maintenance.

Requirements

  • City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in vehicle mechanics.
  • A full UK driving license.
  • Initiative, planning skills, and a flexible, enthusiastic approach.
  • A C1, 7.5-tonne license would be a bonus but is not essential.
