Senior Bioprocess Development Scientist

This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing award-winning biotechnology company as a Senior Downstream Process Development Scientist. Based at the industry partner's HQ in Edinburgh, you will play a critical role in delivering current and future products.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective downstream processing strategies to improve product yields and quality.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to design, develop and optimize bioprocesses from lab to commercial scale.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify new product opportunities and improvements or modifications to existing products and processes.

About You:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in microbiology, with experience separating, extracting, purifying and concentrating products of microbial fermentations. Proven track record of bringing new products to market and progressing development projects up the Technology Readiness scale is essential. Leadership skills within and across multidisciplinary teams, particularly ability to communicate and translate technical ideas to varying levels of understanding.

Salary: £65,000 - £85,000 per annum depending on experience + benefits
