Job Opportunity

SGS is seeking a skilled Sample Reception Technician / Subcontract Technician to manage the subcontracting journey from initial query to testing completion. The successful candidate will work closely with Customer Services to ensure accurate invoicing and commercially sensible practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately follow standard operating procedures for sample registration, subcontracting, and transfer between sites.
  • Provide technical support for outsourcing pricing and testing requirements with subcontracting laboratories.
  • Prepare purchase orders via Oracle and update the PO tracker.
  • Liaise with Sales to ensure updated pricing for subcontractors is communicated.
  • Liaise with Procurement to update Oracle with price increases and reflect changes on product catalogues.

Requirements

  • GCSE grade A to C (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
  • Full driving licence.
  • Numerate with good written English – both essential.
  • Customer Service orientated and committed to providing an outstanding level of service.
  • Good IT skills, including competent use of Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Experience in operations / productions or a closely related role.
