Geo Environmental Project Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Geo Environmental Project Engineer to join our team at Evan Craig. As a Geo Environmental Project Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Estimate and determine the feasibility of projects, agreeing cost estimates with clients and managing project budgets.
  • Carry out Phase I Desk Studies and Walkover Surveys, identifying potential environmental risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Conduct Phase II+ intrusive investigations, including risk assessment and interpretative report writing, under the supervision of senior staff.
  • Inspect project sites to monitor progress on remediation, ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Direct the collection and field analysis of soil and material samples, ensuring that all data is accurately recorded and reported.
  • Schedule samples for laboratory analysis, ensuring that all results are received and interpreted in a timely manner.
Requirements:
  • Degree qualified, preferably to Master's Level, in Geology, Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 2 years' professional background, ideally with another site investigation company or engineering consultancy.
