Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Gynaecology Specialist Lead to join our team at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert clinical opinion and leading the development of our Obstetrics and Gynaecology service.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide a consultant-led service in Gynaecology, including hysteroscopy, menopause, and general gynaecology.
  • Work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team to offer expert opinion and considerate advice to women with complications in any stage of pregnancy and acute gynaecology.
  • Develop the Obstetrics and Gynaecology service by working closely with other colleagues to standardise pathways of care.
  • Provide training for trainees in the specialty of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
About the Role:

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Ambulatory Care Consultant to lead our Obstetrics and Gynaecology service and make a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have MBBS or equivalent qualifications, entry onto the GMC specialist register or eligibility for entry within 6 months, MRCOG, ATSM in Benign Gynaecology - open and laparoscopy, and ATSM in Early Pregnancy and Acute Gynaecology. You should also have evidence of thorough and broad training and experience in the specialty.
