Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students with complex needs at our SEND Post 16 school in Enfield.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in achieving independence and preparing them for adult life.
  • Guide and encourage students to build confidence and develop skills for independent living, further education, and employment.
  • Prepare students for real-world experience and employability through work experience days.
  • Collaborate with teachers to deliver a range of subjects including English, Maths, ICT, PE, creative lessons, and life skills.

Requirements:

  • Experience as HLTA or strong experience as SEN Teaching Assistant looking for the next step.
  • Proven track record of working with young people with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and speech and language needs.
  • Strong understanding of SEND principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary Range: £23,000 - £25,000 per year

The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting students with complex needs and be able to work collaboratively with the teaching team. In return, we offer a competitive salary and benefits package.
