Job Overview

University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Critical Care Nurse Leader to join our team. As a key member of our Critical Care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading our team of nurses in delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Main Responsibilities
  • Plan, provide, and evaluate skilled evidence-based care for critically ill patients.
  • Support and develop colleagues by mentoring and assessing their skills.
  • Promote practice development within Critical Care.
  • Shift lead and support staff.
  • Fulfill local/trust requirements in specified audit/project work.
  • Undertake performance development reviews under the guidance of the B7 team leader.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • RGN/1st Level RN UK NMC registration.
  • Adult Critical Care Course or equivalent.
  • Mentorship Course or Equivalent.
  • ILS Course.
  • 1st Degree or willingness to undertake.
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience in other Critical Care Units.
  • Leadership Course.
  • Masters level Study.
  • ALS.
