About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Assystem. As a key member of our Quality Function, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance and maintenance with quality arrangements across all aspects of project execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Assurance and Control: Provide quality assurance, management, and control services within multi-discipline teams to support client projects.
  • Supplier Management: Ensure client and supply-chain adherence to contracted quality requirements and support client programmes in meeting overall project quality standards.
  • Manufacturing Inspection and Test: Oversee manufacturing inspection and test plans, quality records, NCR facilitation, root cause analysis, and audits, both on client sites and at subcontractor locations in the UK and overseas.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate closely with project functions and the supply chain to ensure consistent, safe, and efficient project quality, prioritizing nuclear safety.
  • Supplier Capability Assessment: Assess supplier capability to meet current and future business needs.
  • Quality Assurance and Manufacturing/Site Surveillance: Establish and lead quality assurance and manufacturing/site surveillance plans to address identified risks.
  • Quality Audit Support: Assist quality auditors in resolving audit findings within the supply chain.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years post-academic experience, with 5 years preferably in the nuclear or highly regulated sector.
  • Skills: Proficient in improvement techniques like 8D, PDCA, RCA, Kaizen, and process mapping. Experience in large, regulated projects with a focus on product/project quality.
  • Qualifications: Member Grade Member of the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI). Qualified to (preferably engineering) HNC/Diploma/C&G Graduate level as a minimum. IRCA Registered Lead Auditor (Role Specific).
