About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to join our expanding Quality Assurance (QA) team at IES Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will work with the latest technologies, learn something new every day, and use your initiative to drive quality and excellence in our software development environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute test cases based on project documents, customer demands, and product objectives.
  • Set up, maintain, and perform test automation frameworks on backend applications and services.
  • Ensure the overall health of test pipelines and collaborate with different teams and products.
  • Stay up-to-date with sprint, release, and product goals, and create and maintain Requirement Traceability Matrices (RTMs) to highlight testing status and risks.
  • Build test scenarios and acceptance tests, and research new test tools, methodologies, and trends to upgrade existing practices and processes.
  • Report new defects and update the status of logged items based on testing feedback, and guide junior team members on test script development and test automation framework maintenance.
  • Manage the final quality of production releases and approve release documentation to ensure it accurately describes the completed work for software users.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in automation testing.
  • Compiled language knowledge (e.g., C, C++, C#, or Fortran) is desirable.
  • Experience in API/Libraries testing and simulation-based testing is desirable.
  • Excellent designing and programming skills, knowledge of programming languages and process management methodology, and knowledge of test methodologies and their corresponding tools.
  • Exposure to Behaviour Driven Development and experience in programming and testing.
  • The ability to recognize risks and errors in an application, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and good time management and organizational skills.
  • The ability to keep current with the constantly changing technology industry and a passion for testing, development, and design.
  • Ability to take a project leadership role and guide other team members.
