Job Summary

Thales is seeking a skilled Procurement Project Manager to join our team in Cheadle, UK. As a key member of our Procurement team, you will be responsible for representing Procurement as a Procurement Project Manager, working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure acquisition or sourcing strategies for campaigns, bids, or products are aligned to the needs of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop supply chain architecture and negotiate with suppliers to obtain a complete and competitive supply chain architecture that delivers the full requirement of the bid or product.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders and functions to manage all Procurement aspects, ensuring work packages are executed in accordance with technical, program, cost, and performance requirements.
  • Collaborate with the bid and product development teams to ascertain work package needs, competitiveness objectives, and target costs.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in procurement and supply chain management, with a strong understanding of the business model and product lifecycles.
  • Ability to manage by influence and convince, with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of cost evaluation, Design to Value, and Lean approach principles.
  • Basic skills in regulations, such as export control and Reach.
