About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Charity Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the financial stability and sustainability of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor the financial standing of the charity and provide strategic financial guidance to the Board.
  • Chair the Finance & Resources Sub-committee and oversee the charity's financial risk-management process.
  • Advise on fundraising, income, and development of unrestricted funds.
  • Act as a counter signatory on payments and applications to funders.
  • Work with the Accountants and Executive Team to ensure timely submission of annual accounts.
Requirements
  • Proven ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Understanding of charity fundraising and finance practices.
  • Skills and experience in non-executive governance and management, including strategic planning and financial management.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to the overall governance of the charity.
