About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Childcare Specialist to join our team at Slough Borough Council. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Early Years Educator to deliver high-quality early years provision that promotes and supports the needs of all children.

You will work as part of a multi-agency team in a nursery based in a children's centre, providing effective holistic care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Your role will involve developing professional relationships with multi-agency services and parents/carers to ensure continuity of care for children.

This is a full-time/part-time role with various hours available, including term-time only positions. You will be working in locations such as Monksfield Way Children's Centre, Chalvey Grove Children's Centre/Family Hub, and Romsey Close Children's Centre/Family Hub.

Key Responsibilities
  • To deliver high-quality early years provision that promotes and supports the needs of all children.
  • To develop professional relationships with multi-agency services and parents/carers.
  • To provide effective holistic care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Requirements

You will need experience of working with children in an early years environment, an understanding of early years legislation and safeguarding, and a Level 3 qualification in early years practice or equivalent.

Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary starting from £27,056 per annum (inclusive of LW) - pro-rata for Term-time staff. Additional benefits include 26 days annual leave (rising to 30 days between 2-5 years' service and 33 days after 5 years' service), local government pension scheme, and opportunities for career development and growth.
