Job Title: Project Technical Authority

We're currently seeking an accomplished Engineering Design Manager to fill the role of Project Technical Authority at Babcock International Group. This position demands strategic thinking, technical expertise, and outstanding leadership abilities.

As the Project Technical Authority, you will lead cross-functional teams in ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, managing risk, and driving project success. Collaborate closely with stakeholders to identify and mitigate potential issues, always focusing on optimal outcomes.

Remuneration: £56,000 - £63,000 per annum + Benefits

Your primary focus will be to drive innovation and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing. Ensure seamless integration of technical solutions, identifying areas for process enhancements, and implementing best practices to elevate overall project quality.

Main Tasks:

  • Develop and implement strategies to maintain compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address project risks, proactively mitigating potential issues.
  • Foster an environment of open communication, encouraging collaboration and idea-sharing among team members.
  • Continuously assess and refine project processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Proven ability to drive strategic initiatives and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Robust technical expertise, combined with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive approach to risk management, identifying potential challenges and developing mitigation strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Hold a degree in a relevant field or demonstrate equivalent experience.
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer registration (or progress toward this status) accompanied by membership in a relevant professional organisation.
