We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Social Worker to join our Assessment Team in North Somerset Children's Social Care. The successful candidate will work alongside the Front Door, undertaking new section 47 investigations and assessments.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to immediate safeguarding concerns and conduct visits to family homes, schools, and nurseries.
- Complete work within statutory guidance and receive support through regular supervision.
- Support the Front Door in triaging referrals and collaborate with other teams as needed.
- Develop and implement short-term intervention plans to ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people.
- Qualified Social Worker with a passion for working with children and families.
- Sound knowledge of relevant childcare legislation, including 'Working Together to Safeguard Children' and fostering regulations.
- Ability to build effective relationships with children, young people, and families.
As a member of our team, you will be supported by a strong and consistent senior management team, with a manageable caseload and high-quality reflective supervision. You will also have access to ongoing training and development opportunities.

This role is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions) Order 1975 and requires an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. A valid driving license and own transport, or alternative suitable method of travel, are essential for this position.
