Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team, supporting young people aged 11-19 with complex needs, including autism, learning disabilities, and communication challenges.

About the Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping students with their learning, personal development, and overall well-being. You will work in a caring and supportive environment, ensuring each student has the opportunity to thrive and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning and evaluation of educational activities.
  • Provide regular feedback on student progress and support their personal development.
  • Manage behaviour positively, adapting strategies to suit individual needs.
  • Work closely with other professionals to provide effective support for students.
Requirements
  • Experience working with SEN students (paid or voluntary).
  • Level 2 or higher qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (preferred).
  • GCSE Maths and English (Grade C/Level 2 or above) - essential.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Ability to follow plans and adapt to meet the needs of individual students.
  • Creative and positive approach to supporting students' learning and development.
