Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced EPMA Pharmacist to lead the transformation of medicines management through digital innovation, working within a dynamic healthcare environment in Cardiff.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated pharmacist to join our team and contribute to the development of new clinical workflows, improving patient safety and optimising prescribing practices.

The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in Pharmacy, Independent Prescriber status, and extensive experience in hospital clinical pharmacy, as well as excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate the implementation and management of ePMA systems across the trust.
  • Work closely with digital teams, clinicians, and senior stakeholders to improve patient safety and optimise prescribing practices.
  • Provide expert advice and clinical leadership, influencing the development of new clinical workflows.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to ensure safe and effective use of ePMA systems.
  • Support financial optimisation and medicines management as part of the ePMA project's benefits realisation.
  • Lead clinical audits and drive continuous improvement in pharmacy services.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Pharmacy (MPharm or MSc).
  • Membership of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Independent Prescriber status.
  • Extensive experience in hospital clinical pharmacy.
  • Experience in leading change initiatives or working with digital healthcare systems.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive hourly rate: £32 - £37 per hour, depending on experience.
  • A full-time position: 5 days per week, Monday to Friday.
