Job Overview

The Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated and organized Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Prospect Park Hospital in Reading. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacy team in providing high-quality patient care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Complete the Certificate of Higher Education in Pharmacy Technician Practice apprenticeship over the course of 24 months.
  • Participate in rotations within all areas of our department, including dispensary, pharmacy stores, medicines information, medicines safety, wards, and accuracy checking.
  • Work on mental health wards and/or community health wards to complete ward-based learning for the apprenticeship.
  • Participate in the late duty rota, working hours of 10-6pm.
  • Engage in regular 1:1 meetings with your line manager and college tutors/assessors to develop your training/learning objectives and leadership skills.
Requirements
  • Five GCSEs or equivalent at grades A-C/9-4, including Mathematics, English, and two Science qualifications.
  • Clear written and spoken English, and communication skills.
  • Ability to use own initiative and demonstrate self-confidence and self-motivation.
