About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our Group Claims team. As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for providing in-depth analysis and building machine learning models to predict claims outcomes and solve business problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop analytical models using Databricks' MLflow on the cloud data platform.
  • Work with a diverse group of data consumers across the Group to identify and capture business requirements.
  • Maintain a continual feedback loop with claims, underwriters, and actuaries on segmentation, trend analysis, and portfolio monitoring and optimization.
  • Own, maintain, and follow development and design principles as well as best practice.
  • Manage and deliver ad-hoc analytics requests from business stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Deep understanding of data science, analytics platforms, and machine learning domains.
  • Experience with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX, and LLMs.
  • Strong coding experience in Python, SQL, and Databricks, MLFlow, and Spark.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of data privacy and security standards in an insurance context.
  • Comfortable with manipulating and analyzing large datasets.
