Hostel Cleaning Specialist

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Hostel Cleaning Operative to join our team at Pertemps TM. As a Hostel Cleaning Operative, you will be responsible for providing high-quality cleaning services in flats and communal areas within our hostels across the city.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a high-quality cleaning service and take full responsibility for specific tasks in communal areas and residential flats within hostels.
- Follow all cleaning procedures and support the council's policies and procedures regarding Health and Safety and safe working practices.
- Risk assess areas of work and tasks to ensure a healthy and safe working environment for employees and the public.
- Identify repairs and report the condition of flats and communal areas within the hostels.
- Liaise daily with building staff and hostel supervisors, reporting on operational problems arising, including ASB or other tenancy issues.
- Provide clear written information to support work undertaken, aiding the management team when providing answers to corporate complaints and for use during performance reviews.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by working to improve customer service and providing the highest quality of work in line with service level agreements.
- Communicate with customers and other service areas by telephone or in person as required.
- Undergo training and coaching and achieve BICSc training standards.
- Support the application of current and emerging technology.
- Participate actively in supporting the principles and practice of equality of opportunity as stated in the Council's Equal Opportunities Policy.
- Take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and other persons who may be affected by your acts or omissions and comply with all health and safety legislation as appropriate.
- Adhere to the Council's Corporate Safeguarding Policy and associated policies and procedures and report concerns regarding the safety and wellbeing of children or adults at risk.
- Undertake such other duties and/or times of work as may reasonably be required of you, commensurate with your grade or general level of responsibility within the organisation.
- Work from various locations in accordance with the needs of the role.
