The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to oversee the daily operations of our construction plant workshop. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all machinery and equipment are maintained to the highest standards, minimizing downtime and optimizing performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Workshop Management: Oversee the maintenance, repair, and servicing of construction plant machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  2. Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of skilled workshop technicians, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
  3. Quality Control: Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards and in compliance with safety regulations and company procedures.
  4. Inventory Management: Manage parts and equipment inventory, ensuring availability for repairs and maintenance while controlling costs.
  5. Scheduling: Coordinate the scheduling of maintenance and repairs, prioritizing tasks to meet operational demands.
  6. Problem Solving: Address technical issues promptly, providing solutions to keep machinery operational and projects on track.

Requirements:

  1. Experience: Proven experience in a workshop management role within the construction or civil engineering sector.
  2. Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of construction plant machinery, maintenance processes, and industry standards.
