Support Worker for Vulnerable Young People

Are you passionate about supporting and helping vulnerable and at-risk young people achieve their full potential? This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of children and young people who are facing challenges in their education and life skills.
This role will give you the chance to work with a dedicated team to provide a vital service within the community, supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) and associated social, emotional, and mental health challenges and traumas. You will identify risks and needs, escalating where necessary, and provide consistency and support to help children and young people feel safe, secure, empowered, and believe that they can succeed in life.
This is an ideal role for graduates in Psychology, Sociology, and Criminology, providing excellent practical experience with vulnerable, hard-to-reach students before embarking on a career in outreach or for non-profit organisations. It is also suitable for aspiring Probation Officers, Prison Officers, and Youth Justice Workers.

Requirements
- GCSE in English and Maths is necessary
- No previous experience is required
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
- Able to build confidence and motivation
- Able to remain calm and resilient when placed in situations of stress or conflict
Excellent on-site training, support, and CPD is provided to ensure safeguarding of all students. Salary: £80-£90 per day, Mon-Fri, 08:30 to 16:30, PAYE, term time only.
