About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Service Engineer to join our team at PRS in Abingdon. This is a temporary opportunity that requires the right candidate to work independently and as part of a team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in boiler breakdowns, servicing, and heating A/C plant repairs. Previous mechanical maintenance experience is essential for this role.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Preventative Maintenance: Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on all HVAC engineering services as required.
  2. Procurement: Procure materials and equipment to carry out works.
  3. Reporting: Complete worksheets for works undertaken and obtain authorisation for the works required.
  4. Client Communication: Advise client of minor additional works, compile estimates, and submit through coordinators/Supervisors/Contract Managers.
  5. Troubleshooting: Carry out fault diagnosis, repair, and advise as required.
  6. Overtime: Be available to carry out necessary works outside normal hours.
Requirements:
  1. C&G in Mechanical and/or HVAC engineering (or equivalent).
  2. General plant maintenance including drives and belts, pumps, etc.
  3. On-site mechanical experience (2+ years).
  4. Health & Safety Awareness.
  5. Experience in breakdowns and reactive works.

Working Conditions:
This role involves working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively in a team setting and manage their time efficiently. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package to attract the right candidate.

Salary Information:
The estimated annual salary for this position is £39,360 based on 37 hours per week at £19.00 per hour. This figure may vary depending on individual circumstances.
