Job Title: Head of Oracle Platform Management

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our newly created Corporate Hub, responsible for the management of our Oracle Cloud platform. As the Head of Oracle Platform Management, you will be responsible for leading a team of product managers to deliver the ongoing evolution of the service, embracing agile ways of working to support the repeatable and efficient delivery of upgrade, maintenance, and change activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the ongoing evolution of the service, embracing agile ways of working to support the repeatable and efficient delivery of upgrade, maintenance, and change activities.
  • Lead on the delivery of the service roadmap, engaging with specialist areas as required and leading the network of business stakeholders.
  • Support the development of agile business cases to support the ongoing evolution and improvement of the service.
  • Be accountable for managing the life cycle of the service efficiently and effectively, managing external and internal partners to achieve good outcomes.
  • Take a lead role in the onboarding of new service customers.
  • Work closely with operational management teams to co-ordinate and plan ongoing change.
  • Work to continuously improve the operational efficiency of the platform.
  • Work closely with leaders of operational delivery teams in digital, data, and technology.
  • Anticipate problems and defend against them at the right time by employing robust testing practices and processes.
  • Work with architecture and business colleagues in developing a long-term vision and objectives for the service.
  • Help build and develop the team, creating a small multi-disciplinary change and support team.
  • Lead on the development and maintenance of platform training content in partnership with Directorates.

Requirements:

  • Experience of leading a team through periods of change and transformation.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Cloud and its implementation.
  • Ability to develop and maintain a long-term vision and objectives for the service.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • A competitive salary of £72,310 per annum.
  • A £5,000 per annum pro-rata DDaT Pay Supplement after a 3-month competency qualifying period.
