Job Title: Head of Oracle Platform Management

Join the Scottish Government's Corporate Transformation team as the Head of Oracle Platform Management, a key role in shaping the future of our digital services.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced leader to oversee the management of our Oracle Cloud platform, ensuring seamless delivery of upgrades, maintenance, and change activities. As the Platform Management Lead, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a service roadmap, engaging with stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the ongoing evolution of the service, embracing agile ways of working to support efficient delivery of upgrade, maintenance, and change activities.
  • Develop and implement a service roadmap, engaging with specialist areas and leading the network of business stakeholders.
  • Support the development of agile business cases to support the ongoing evolution and improvement of the service.
  • Manage the life cycle of the service efficiently and effectively, managing external and internal partners to achieve good outcomes.
  • Take a lead role in the onboarding of new service customers.
  • Work closely with operational management teams to co-ordinate and plan ongoing change.
  • Continuously improve the operational efficiency of the platform.

What We Offer:

The Scottish Government offers a competitive salary of £72,310 per annum, plus a £5,000 per annum pro-rata DDaT Pay Supplement after a 3-month competency qualifying period. We also offer a range of benefits, including a generous pension scheme and flexible working arrangements.
