Job Role: Teaching Assistant - Supporting Students with SEN

At Step Teachers, we are seeking a qualified and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools and a strong understanding of various SEN conditions and strategies to support students effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEN, ensuring their individual needs are met effectively.
  • Assist classroom teachers in planning and delivering differentiated lessons to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to reach their full potential.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to ongoing assessments to track student progress and inform future interventions.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification - ideally with placements as part of your course.
  • Strong understanding of various SEN conditions and strategies to support students effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Flexibility, patience, and a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of children with SEN.
