Mechanical Maintenance Role

Recruit Mint is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to work in a shift pattern based in St Neots. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of process equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure a high standard of maintenance to meet factory performance goals
  2. Electrical setup and production support
  3. Fault finding and repair of breakdowns
  4. Adhere to factory safety protocols at all times
  5. Perform Preventive Maintenance tasks
  6. Fabrication and installation of Plant and Machinery under supervision
Person Specification
  1. Recognised Mechanical apprenticeship (City and Guilds, NVQ or equivalent)
  2. Experience of Production equipment, maintenance in a diverse factory environment
  3. Good diagnostic skills
  4. Mechanical maintenance experience
  5. Computer literate (stores systems and Maintenance Management Systems)
Working Hours

The Shift pattern involves working 1758 hours per annum, consisting of 143 rostered 12 hour shifts, one 6-hour training session, and 6 days off per week. This includes:

  1. 143 rostered 12 hours and 15 minutes shifts (usually between the hours of 6.45am to 7pm, 6.45pm to 7am)
  2. One 6-hour training session

Additional Information

The company will aim to give at least 2 weeks' notice if a change to the published roster is required. Holiday entitlement is built into time off shift. The employee can do shift swaps to create more time off.
