Job Title: Actuarial Analyst - Insurance Pricing Specialist

At XL CATLIN, we are seeking a highly skilled Actuarial Analyst to join our Pricing team. As an Actuarial Analyst, you will play a key role in managing our portfolios to ensure continued profitable growth and developing talent to deliver the best for our customers and clients.

  • Develop and maintain pricing models for new products or where the tools do not currently exist.
  • Work with senior team members to update parameters and methods for existing actuarial pricing tools.
  • Manage data collection processes from pricing tools and analyze that data to inform business decisions.
  • Case pricing of large risks and manage the portfolio to assess expected profitability and risk.
  • Train and guide underwriters on using pricing tools and develop key price monitoring metrics.
  • Provide ad hoc requests and support to the team.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of VBA, SQL, R, and/or Python is a bonus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, Science, or other numerate degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
