About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Youth Support Worker to join our team at Sja's West. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering our NHS Cadets program, which aims to empower young people from marginalized communities to develop their skills and aspirations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1.5-2 hour sessions to young people involved with the NHS Cadet Programme, providing development opportunities in citizenship and health-related volunteering.
  • Work closely with a Project Lead and other Youth Support Workers to plan and deliver content, adapting to the individual needs of the young people on your program.
  • Support the recruitment of young people onto the program and ensure they maximize their opportunities for growth and development.
  • Act as a support and point of contact for young people enrolled on the program, providing guidance and resources as needed.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the program runs smoothly and administrative duties are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

About You:

  • Experience in delivering formal or informal training or activities to young people, with a proven track record of motivating and engaging them.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to tailor your style to suit a variety of audiences.
  • High levels of IT literacy, with a good knowledge of MS Office and remote working tools.
