Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Penetration Tester to join our Automotive Embedded domain. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in automotive networks, embedded systems, and cybersecurity, capable of identifying vulnerabilities and recommending mitigation strategies to secure connected and autonomous vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform penetration testing on embedded automotive systems (ECUs, CAN bus, infotainment, telematics, etc.)
  • Analyse system architectures, firmware, and communication protocols to identify potential vulnerabilities
  • Conduct security assessments on in-vehicle and external communication interfaces (e.g., Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, cellular)
  • Develop and execute attack vectors targeting embedded systems
  • Collaborate with R&D and engineering teams to propose and implement security improvements
  • Report findings with detailed technical explanations and remediation suggestions
  • Stay updated on emerging threats and industry standards (ISO 21434, UNECE WP.29, etc.)
  • Assist in designing and implementing security tools for automated testing

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field
  • Proven industry experience in penetration testing, preferably in automotive embedded systems
  • Strong knowledge of automotive protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet)
  • Experience with reverse engineering tools (IDA Pro, Ghidra) and hardware hacking (JTAG, UART)
  • Familiarity with embedded operating systems (Linux, QNX, RTOS) and real-time systems
  • Proficiency in programming languages (C, Python, Assembly)
  • Certification in cybersecurity (e.g., CEH, OSCP, GSEC) is advantageous
