Job Title: Environmental Sustainability Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Sustainability Manager to join our team at Go2personnel Solutions. As an Environmental Sustainability Manager, you will play a key role in advancing our Environmental Management and Sustainability initiatives, ensuring they align with and drive our business strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Environmental Management: Lead the effective delivery of associated management strategies/action plans to exceed client expectations and prevent environmental incidents and non-conformance.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Drive awareness and deliver the requirements of the Environment and Carbon strategies within our division.
  • Contract Management: Ensure contracts and operational activities go above and beyond our Environmental Management System and legislative compliance requirements.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Liaise with and report on the relevant environmental, sustainability, and carbon capture KPIs and our progress against divisional targets and objectives.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with various business units to foster a positive environmental impact across our operations, contributing to our commitment to sustainable practices and responsible business growth.
  • Incident Investigation: Lead on VSI environmental incident investigations, and support and advise on corrective actions (where required).
  • Regulatory Compliance: Liaise with regulators and other stakeholders to drive cross-contract improvements.
  • Auditing and Assurance: Carry out internal and external audits of contracts, projects, and supply chain.

Requirements:

  • Experience: At least 7 years' construction, utilities, or telecoms industry experience or relevant environmental experience in a similar sector.
  • Team Management: Experience of managing diverse teams of environmental specialists on construction projects across a multidisciplinary team.
  • Qualifications: Degree-level qualification in an appropriate Environmental, Carbon Management, or related discipline (or equivalent).
  • Professional Membership: Practitioner or Full Membership with IEMA or working towards, or equivalent professional body grade.
  • CPD: Up-to-date CPD (evidence to be provided).
  • Management Qualification: Management/Leadership qualification.
  • Project Management: Project Management Qualification would be advantageous.
  • Environmental Standards: Experience of maintaining or reaching externally audited management standards, including ISO, along with but not limited to Achilles, Carbon Reduce, etc.
  • Senior Leadership: Recent proven experience of working in a Senior Environment/Sustainability position.
