Job Title: Academic Department Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Academic Department Manager to lead our Service Industries programme area. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality education and training.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the provision within the programme area, ensuring effective implementation of quality assurance procedures, and managing resources to achieve annual targets for learner numbers, income, expenditure, and success rates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop strategic curriculum planning, including setting and achieving departmental targets and key objectives.
  • Design and deliver courses that comply with quality standards and regulations of the College.
  • Implement Quality Assurance procedures and systems, including course reviews and action plans.
  • Lead teams through compliance procedures and manage the administration of accreditation for prior learning.
  • Oversee student projects, field trips, and work placements.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance procedures and curriculum development.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and equality of opportunity in an academic context.
  • Familiarity with College policies and Health and Safety regulations.
