Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a school in Swansea. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students with Special Educational Needs, providing individualized support and creating a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work one-on-one with students with SEN, adapting your approach to meet their unique needs
  • Develop and implement strategies to support students with challenging behaviours
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective support system
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with SEN, particularly those with Autism and Learning Difficulties
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and parents
  • Ability to think creatively and develop innovative strategies to support students with complex needs
  • Level 2 or 3 CACHE or equivalent qualification in Special Educational Needs
