Activity Coordinator Job Description

About the Role:

As an Activity Coordinator at ALPADIA Language Schools SA, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality co-curricular programs to our students. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth operation of afternoon and evening activities, excursions, and events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging activities that cater to diverse student interests and ages
  • Collaborate with the activity team to develop and implement session plans, risk assessments, and itineraries
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times, adhering to ALPADIA's safeguarding and health and safety regulations
  • Manage student attendance, behavior, and accommodation needs, providing support and guidance as required
  • Contribute to the development of staff rotas, ensuring adequate supervision and coverage
  • Participate in daily meetings, providing feedback and suggestions for camp process improvements
  • Assist with the induction and training of staff members, promoting a positive and inclusive team culture

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role or a related field, such as holiday camps or youth programs
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work under pressure, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, remaining flexible and responsive to student needs
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality, with a commitment to safeguarding and protecting students' information
