Student Finance Management Opportunity

Homes for Students is a leading student accommodation and facilities management contractor with an expanding nationwide presence. In the past year, we have secured 40 contracts with six different clients.

We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our Finance team based in Harrogate, working 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday (9:00 am - 5:30 pm). The salary for this position will be £35,000-£50,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing monthly management accounts within the set deadline.
  • Assisting in reviewing properties' monthly finance reports.
  • Preparing and reviewing month-end balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Managing accruals and prepayments.
  • Performing investor calculations quarterly.
  • Producing client financial reforecasting.
  • Ensuring compliance with clients' Controlled Self-Assessment.
  • Supporting the Client's Annual Statutory Audits.
  • Providing training support to other team members.
  • Assisting with ad-hoc tasks and reporting.
  • Maintaining commercial and performance awareness of Finance.
  • Reviewing and implementing process improvements for the finance function and completing user acceptance testing.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • AAT qualified or part-qualified ACCA or CIMA with 2-3 years of Management Accounts experience.
  • Experience in all areas of the finance function.
  • Thorough knowledge of finance computer software, preferably Navision.
