Accountant Role

Curtis Recruitment is seeking a skilled Accountant to join our team. This role will involve working with a mixed portfolio of SME clients, preparing accounts, and assisting with VAT and personal tax.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of accounts for SME clients (FRS 102 Section 1a & FRS 105)
  • Assisting the VAT team with quarterly management accounts and VAT returns
  • Providing advice on salary and dividends to clients
  • Assisting with Personal Tax Returns
  • Being the first point of contact for allocated clients, responding to enquiries
  • Developing relationships with clients and ensuring retention
  • Working within a team to meet deadlines and working independently

Requirements:

  • Qualified or exceptional qualified by experience accountant
  • Minimum of five years' experience gained within practice
  • Experience of accountancy software e.g. Sage, IRIS, FreeAgent, Kashflow and other online bookkeeping software
  • Amiable team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organised with attention to detail
