Job Title: Advisory Lead, Trade Finance

At NatWest, we're seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as Advisory Lead, Trade Finance. This role presents a unique opportunity to drive a culture of intelligent risk management and partner with the business to deliver safe and sustainable solutions for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and inspire a team of business and customer control partners to ensure the development and delivery of effective financial crime controls for our Trade Finance business.
  • Build and lead the Trade Finance Advisory function, providing guidance and training on the interpretation of FC policy, standards, and risk appetite decisions across all FC typologies.
  • Partner with other specialist advisory colleagues and business teams to ensure consistent implementation of a robust FC control framework.
  • Develop relationships across the industry and engage on regulatory matters.
  • Utilize data to set out the current state of play to senior stakeholders, whilst articulating and driving forward the targeted enhancements required to achieve the strategic end state for the control framework.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you'll need a strong understanding of anti-money laundering (AML) and other financial crime regulatory requirements and how these apply to Trade Finance. You'll bring strong stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to influence at senior management levels and collaborate across an organisation.

Drive to design and build an industry-leading control framework for Trade Finance.
