Located in the heart of the East Yorkshire region, Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join their dynamic Forensic Services Team.

Job Overview

This exciting opportunity is part of the Trust's ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care within the community. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing safe and effective medical leadership, assessment, and management of patients within the community caseload.

You will be an integral member of a multidisciplinary team comprising occupational therapy, social work, nursing staff, peer support, and psychology, working together to deliver exceptional care and outcomes for patients.

About the Role
  • Provide expert psychiatric care to patients within the community forensic setting.
  • Offer medical leadership, assessment, and management of patients on the community caseload.
  • Contribute to the on-call rota for the wider Forensic Service, ensuring seamless coverage and continuity of care.

The ideal candidate will have a strong service user focus, with a passion for service development and improvement. You will be supported by experienced Consultant colleagues working in the Forensic Division, enabling you to excel in this challenging yet rewarding role.

Requirements
  • CCT registration in Forensic Psychiatry or equivalent experience.
  • Approved as a Responsible Clinician or willingness to undertake training for Section 12(2) MHA approval.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Able to commute within the Trust's geographical area with access to appropriate means of transport.

We offer a competitive salary of £120,000 - £150,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits, including an enhanced leave package, health and wellbeing support, and opportunities for professional development.
