Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Lead to join our team at AG Barr. As a key member of our inventory management team, you will be responsible for managing the flow of goods into and out of our warehouse, ensuring that our production lines receive the necessary materials in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.

  • Manage the Goods In team to ensure that production line ingredient requirements are met.
  • Liaise with the Senior Leadership Team and External Contracts as required.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure accurate stock counts and inventory management.
  • Identify and address any quality or safety issues related to raw materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • People Management:
    • Lead, motivate, and develop the Goods In team to ensure planned output requirements and quality standards are met.
    • Support the Goods In Team Leader to review team performance and identify areas for improvement.
    • Coach and manage colleagues to achieve their potential.
  • Operational Performance:
    • Ensure all raw materials are available for production in line with weekly manufacturing plans.
    • Manage the team against Standard Working Procedures (SWPs) and processes.
    • Implement and improve new procedures and processes with the Continuous Improvement (CI) department.
  • Quality and Accuracy Controls:
    • Manage ingredient raw materials to ensure accurate stock control and storage.
    • Ensure all systems are updated with accurate stock information.
    • Carry out stock counts and blind location checks weekly.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in a warehouse capacity within an FMCG environment.
  • Able to demonstrate leadership qualities.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work on your own initiative.
  • Problem-solving ability.
  • Computer literate.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, BRC, HACCP).
