We are seeking a skilled Senior Surveyor to join our team in Aberdeen, UK. As a key member of our Offshore Oil and Gas segment, you will be responsible for assessing the design, production, and in-service aspects of engineering assets in the marine environment.
The ideal candidate will have a degree-qualified surveyor background, with sufficient knowledge to obtain authorisations to enable survey of electrical and mechanical Safety Element Critical Elements (SECEs). A proven track record of relevant transferable skills and experience is essential, as well as strategic thinking, change management skills, and inspirational leadership abilities.
In this role, you will work closely with colleagues from other departments and business streams, promoting collaboration and supporting business interests. You will also contribute to the development of novel and innovative technology for existing and next-generation assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively support service delivery teams to ensure the success of Marine & Offshore and Lloyd's Register as a whole.
- Understand and interpret UK Offshore legislation, risk management principles, and offshore installation safety cases.
- Survey SECEs on fixed and floating offshore installations, including equipment manufacturer works for verification and certification requirements.
- Conduct audits of Duty Holder's assurance processes to ensure SECEs are adequately maintained.
- Provide technical assistance to Marine & Offshore Surveyors in other operating regions.
- Control 'management of change' processes for various clients.
- Prepare/Review Performance Standards and Written Schemes of Verification.
- Support opportunities for business growth in the local area.
- Take an active role in all work, communicating with clients, managing financial control, and reporting timely and accurately.
- Actively engage in seeking new opportunities to develop and strengthen Energy's position in this area.
